LinkedIn (opens in new tab)86x Ventures is a hospitality holding company built by people who spent two decades in the business and decided the industry deserved better tools than the ones it had.
Too much of the software built for restaurants gets made without enough input from the people actually running them. The features assume you have time you don't have. The dashboards report numbers nobody on a closing shift cares about. And the price tags assume margins nobody in this industry actually has. The math has never quite worked for the smaller, specific problems — so the tools for those problems never got built, and operators learned to live without.
We spent twenty years living without. As franchisees and franchisors, we ran restaurants across Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida — navigated the operational and regulatory work, watched the same problems show up in every concept and every region. We made spreadsheets to track what software should have tracked. We taped laminated cards to walls because there wasn't a better option. We called other operators at midnight because there was nowhere else to ask.
86x exists because of one observation: the math finally changed. AI makes it possible to ship small, focused, useful tools at a price restaurants can actually pay — tools that would have required eighteen months and a million-dollar engineering team to build five years ago can be shipped now by a small group that knows what to build and why. We also believe the best outcomes come when the people running restaurants and the people building the tools work together — which is why 86X Advisors exists alongside 86X Technology, and why we partner with POS systems, infrastructure providers, and platform companies who know their side of the work better than anyone. None of us solves this alone.
We're building five arms of one company. 86X Technology is where the AI-native software lives — products that address specific operator problems we used to have ourselves. 86X Management holds equity stakes in restaurant brands we believe in and contributes to the work that grows them. 86X Advisors is the same operator experience available as a service to franchisors and multi-unit operators who need experienced eyes on growth. 86X Manufacturing ships physical products into real kitchens — the first one is ComplianceBoards, and it won't be the last. 86X Community is the place we wished existed when we were operators ourselves: somewhere to talk to people who actually get it.
The five arms exist because each one informs the others. The software gets sharper because we use it ourselves and we hear from the operators we advise. The advisory work gets better because we have skin in the game through Management. The Community surfaces problems before we knew they were problems. None of these are siloed. All of them point at the same thing: making a hard business a little easier for the people doing it.
That's the whole company. That's the whole reason we're here.
Each arm of 86x exists on its own, but none of them exists in isolation. The tools 86X Technology builds are stress-tested in real operating conditions through 86X Management's portfolio. The lessons 86X Advisors learns from clients become the next product brief for Technology. The Community surfaces problems that turn into Manufacturing products. Every part of 86x makes every other part better — and every part of 86x is built on the same twenty years of operator experience.
86x is run by two co-founders who bring complementary experience to the work — one from two decades inside the restaurant industry, one from a decade in the industry before moving into technology. The combination is the whole point.

LinkedIn (opens in new tab)86x runs lean on humans and heavy on agents. These are the agents — each with a name, a scope, and a list of things it won't do without asking. We're publishing them here because if a piece of work touches you, you should know who did it.

Drafts the words. Catches drift from the voice.
Keeps the hiring funnel moving. People decisions stay with the founders.
Books the books. Builds the dashboards.
Reads the contracts so the founders don't have to.
Tracks what needs tracking. Surfaces what's worth surfacing.
Pair-programs with whoever's shipping. Will never push to main.
Answers the easy ones fast. Routes the hard ones to a human.
